Kentfield is home to Marin County’s community college, College of Marin. College of Marin has some very impressive programs and boasts the highest transfer rates in the state to Julliard for various types of theater majors. Ross has a lot of art galleries and studios, as well as popular hiking trails and picnic areas. Lake Lagunitas, for one, is a great spot to visit—the lake itself is only a 2 mile circumference, but there are a plethora of various side-road trails to explore in the surrounding area. The small-town feel of both Kentfield and Ross is maintained because of the low-density development and beautifully landscaped streets.
